Counseling Services
Marist Counseling Services promotes the personal, relational, and collective well-being of our campus community. We offer compassionate, ethical, and responsive support through a range of inclusive services. Grounded in social justice values, we are committed to fostering a culture of care, belonging, and empowerment.
Services provided in the Academic Year

- Referrals to weekly, long-term and specialized care off campus or close to home

Off-Campus and Online Resources
- : Marist is partnering with Thriving Campus, an online resource that can help students connect with local off-campus providers. Visit to search providers based on your needs and preferences, and get connected to mental health practitioners nearby to campus.
- : A website with an extensive listing of therapists, psychiatrists, and treatment programs. Listings are searchable based on various factors, including location, insurances accepted, fees, areas of specialty, as well as virtual and in-person services provided.
- : Searchable network of identity affirmative, social justice-oriented therapists who are focused on centering the needs of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in treatment.

Emergency & Crisis Support
In case of a life-threatening Mental Health Emergency at Marist please call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room.
Students needing support for a non-life-threatening mental health crisis after normal office hours are encouraged to contact the RA, RD, or Marist Safety and Security: (845) 575-5555 or (845) 471-1822 to access support from campus staff and to request phone contact with an on-call counselor.
